On what basis are fees calculated for the pillar 3a? How are they charged?

The Management fees of only 0.29% per year are calculated at the end of each quarter and relate to the average value of your 3a assets. These also include the Custody fees of the custodian bank. From our perspective, you pay a very fair price for the management of your 3a assets. Nationwide, our pillar 3a is one of the most affordable. 

The fees apply to each portfolio individually. But don't worry, having multiple portfolios isn't more expensive. The fees are calculated as a percentage of your invested sum and, as you've already read, amount to 0.29% per year (and thus 0.0725% per quarter). 

Example: If you have a portfolio with 60’000 francs, this will cost you 43.50 francs per quarter. If you have two portfolios with 30’000 francs each, they will cost you 21.75 francs each, adding up to 43.50 francs as well.
